But, there are some problems. I noticed that the style doesn't change even in the slow parts. It's always staccato, and there's no real change in dynamics, maybe a decrescendo into mezzo piano around 1:00, keeping the bass at the same volume, then at about 1:15 to 1:33 or so, a crescendo to forte with the bass crescendo starting at around 1:23. Near 1:55 to 2:02, decrescendo the treble to mezzo piano and the bass to mezzo forte, then raise the bass to fortissimo at 2:03 and dropping it gradually from 2:18 to piano at 2:30 with the treble dropping to pianissimo around the same point. Then, at 2:36, a crescendo again to fortissimo for both, and at 3:02, make a sfortzando and start Section A again (the happy part) and bring it back up to the original forte. After that, whatever the heck you want to be there. Maybe another key change, possibly a meter change to 3/4 time! Also, I think it belongs where you originally put it: the classical section. There's no real elements of jazz in there (no swing beat, no blues scales, etc.) if you think about it. Great song, and a dl once you finish it!

It's got elements of ragtime...
Anyway, thanks for your comments, dynamics and all that have been noted.
Thanks!

"really does sound like a sonic song"
in fact, you could make it part of Sonic 4!
Author's Response:
Thanks. But it's quite an old song, I'd have to polish it up a ton before I added it in with my '08 stuff. But still, it's an interesting idea.
Maybe.
Thanks for the review.

I think it would sound really awesome if you found a way to link them all together into one song and transition each one into the next. Maybe even send that to NG
Author's Response:
Interesting. Nice idea! Thanks for the review. And sorry for the late response.

You seem to like long intros, don't you? ANYWAY... I think the synth for the main melody should be maybe an octave lower, you know? Also, you should take out the clangy noise on the second time you do the melody. At least lower it. Still 9&4 but no dl.

Thing is, the stupid thing's too hard. To get back on topic, I liked the music, but it was a little too short. Also, I can't believe I'm saying this, but... it sounded too much like it was actually from the game. By that, I mean that, well, I usually look for VG music that sounds more realistic, you know?
Author's Response:
True. =P Some of my tunes don't change all that much from the game...on the flip side, what I hate is when I hear a 'remix' that doesn't even remind me of the original song. But yeah. It was too short...I had something good going but I didn't bother to develop it. XP

"sounds like it was made for the show"
the main background melody is almost the same as the opening act, making it perfect to go with the rest of it. another 5d & 10d
Author's Response:
Lol, it wasn't made for the show at all...I was kinda desperate for time so I threw this in there. lol
Thanks! :)

A great song man. And I've finally found what I've been looking for: live DnB. That's sort of what I'm trying to do for all my techno. When I get something submitted, think you could come listen? *Thinks to himself: finally i found something live!*
Author's Response:
Sure, I'll give you a listen. Thanks for the review!

I'd tell you to put it on this if the genre was actually on the NGAP, but sadly it isn't: Symphonic Techno. Man that'd be awesome!

I can't believe that Sonic Team replaced the masterpiece BGM known as Launch Base Zone with this idiocy! (Original tune, remix is okay) When I saw this on the listings I expected this to be a remix of that song with the "GO! GO! GO!" in the background, you know?

Hang Castle Zone 2 (Upside down thing). I always liked that one a little better, cause, you know, heavier.
